Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 23, 2026

Ellevyn LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates StudyLaw AI (also referred to as "Lex" or "the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Service. By using StudyLaw AI you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address and — if you sign in through Google or Microsoft — the profile information those providers share with us (typically name and email). Authentication is handled by Supabase, Inc.

b. Content You Submit

We process the documents, case text, notes, audio recordings, and other content you upload or generate within the Service ("User Content") to produce study outputs such as flashcards, case briefs, and outlines.

c. Usage Data

We automatically collect limited technical information about your interaction with the Service, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, timestamps, and error logs. This is used for security, debugging, and service improvement.

d. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to persist your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your User Content to train our own AI models.

3. Categories of Third-Party Processors

To operate StudyLaw AI, we transmit limited User Content and account data to the following categories of third-party service providers, each bound by their own terms and privacy policies:

A current list of the specific sub-processors we use is available on request by emailing support@law-ego.com. To our knowledge, as of the effective date above, our AI-model sub-processors do not use API-submitted content to train their models under their current API terms. Their policies may change; we recommend reviewing them directly.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and User Content for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated User Content at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). After deletion, residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being purged.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS transport encryption, access controls, and server-side verification of authentication tokens. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use it; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@law-ego.com.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Our lawful bases for processing are performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service (Article 6(1)(f)), and your consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)). International transfers to U.S.-based processors are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where applicable.

7. Children

StudyLaw AI is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
